Our Services
At Wheeler Funeral Homes, we strive to meet your needs by providing a warm and welcoming environment. Our two accessible, single-story locations ensure easy entry with no steps to navigate. Upon arrival, our caring team is ready to greet you and make you feel at ease, offering support and answering any questions you may have. Both locations feature a coffee lounge offering complimentary coffee and bottled water, along with a kids’ corner to entertain little ones. We also provide free Wi-Fi for your convenience.
What sets Wheeler Funeral Homes apart is our personalized service and extensive experience. Our team is dedicated to offering unique, compassionate care to every family we serve. William Wheeler, with over 57 years of experience in the funeral industry, founded the funeral home. He earned his degrees from the University of Steubenville and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Sciences (PIMS) in 1973, obtaining both his Embalming and Funeral Directing licenses. His daughter, Kristen Wheeler, has been with the funeral home since 1998.

She graduated Cum Laude from West Liberty State College in 2003, completed her apprenticeship at Wheeler Funeral Homes, and became a licensed Funeral Director in 2005. The most recent addition to our team is Kristen’s husband, Michael Kurner. After graduating from West Liberty State College in 1998 and working in hospitality and the mortgage industry, Mike joined the funeral home in 2009 for his apprenticeship. He passed his state boards and became a licensed funeral director in December 2011.

Cremation Services
We offer several service options for families who choose cremation, which can include a full-service funeral, a memorial service, or something more private, as well as permanent resting place options for the cremated remains.

Our funeral directors are experts in helping to create meaningful services that are unique and honor your loved one in ways that are special and meaningful. We offer several ways to personalize a service, from tribute videos to keepsakes, to live streaming for family and friends who cannot attend in person.
