Dorothy J. Pashke

Dorothy J. Pashke, 78, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Sunday June 5, 2016, at the Villa Vista Nursing Home in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born July 9, 1937 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Giacondo and Anthetta (Scamechia) Canestraro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Canestraro.

Dorothy worked for the AT&T Telephone Company and also the Jefferson County Courthouse. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Catholic Womens Club. Dorothy was a member of the Italian American Cultural Club in Steubenville; the Four Seasons in Weirton, WV; Gadabouts; and Card Club for over 50 years.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Nial M. Pashke, Sr., whom she married on June 25, 1960; four children, Nial M. (Pamela) Pashke, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, Gloria Pashke of Atlanta, GA, Donna (Anthony) Notarantonio of Manassas, VA, and John Pashke of Columbus, OH; and five grandchildren, Madison Pashke, Ashlyn Mallison, Amanda Notarantonio and her fiancé Matt Ntiros, Allison Notarantonio and Anthony Notarantonio.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction. On Wednesday there will be viewing at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant. Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville.
