William R. "Bill" Yoho

William R. “Bill” Yoho, 76, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Wednesday July 30, 2025 at UPMC Presbytery in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born April 8, 1949 in Weirton, WV a son of the late Robert R. and Grace A. (Harlan) Yoho. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia M. “Patty” Yoho on March 3, 2024; and three siblings, Elizabeth J. Vonderink, Richard M. Yoho and James R. Yoho.

Bill retired in 2007 from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp where he worked for 37 years in the Mingo Blast furnace. He was also the owner/operator of Yoho Construction since 1970 and was still working at the time of his passing. Bill was an active member of Harmony Church in Mingo and he enjoyed collecting knives.

Surviving are two sons, William “Bill” (Andrea) Yoho of Wintersville, OH and Mike (Angela) Yoho of Steubenville, OH; two siblings, Carolyn L. (Gene) Hootman of Mansfield, OH and Robert C. (the late Sharon) Yoho of Cadiz, OH; brother-in-law, Mick Vonderink of Ashland, OH; sister-in-law, Sara Yoho of Martins Ferry, OH; four grandchildren, Madelyn Yoho, Olivia Yoho, Shelby (Sterling) Smith and Hailey Yoho; four great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Stella, Saylor and Stetson Smith; and a special niece, Jenna Miller.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Avenue, Mingo Junction, OH on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. and also on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sam Davis, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
