Wendy D. Faulkner, 52, of Cadiz, OH, passed away Wednesday June 23, 2021 at U.P.M.C. Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was born January 24, 1969 in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter of Larry Faulkner of Wheeling, WV and Denise (Core) Kakascik of Brilliant, OH. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Donald P. Kakascik.
Wendy was a former nurses aid at Kindred Hospital in Oakdale, PA. She was a member of the Lovers Lane Church of Christ. She was a strong-willed woman and fought with her health for the last 20 years. She loved to draw, she loved music, and she never knew a stranger, if you knew her then you were her friend.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Amber Fleming-Watson of Cadiz, OH; two grandchildren, Aleah and Alexis Watson; her companion, Joseph Outward of Yorkville, OH; a brother, Trevis Faulkner of Mt. Vernon, OH; a half-sister, Ashley (Zach) Singer of Wheeling, WV; two step-brothers, Jason Kakascik and his companion Ruth Becca of Mingo Junction, OH and Donnie Kakascik of Wintersville, OH; a step-sister, Rene (Mark) Derosa of Howard, OH; an aunt, Marsha Core of Philadelphia, PA; an uncle, Tom (Charlotte) Faulkner of Rush Run, Oh; ; her best friend, Jennifer Borton; and her fur baby, Bailey.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 5:00 p.m., with Raymond Haygood, Minister, officiating. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Hopedale, OH on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.
Her family is requesting that if you have not been fully vaccinated, please wear a mask.
