Vicky L Porter

Vicky Porter, 62, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Monday December 27, 2021 at Lancia Villa Royale Nursing Home in Steubenville, Ohio, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born December 22, 1959 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late William O. and Delores (Takach) Flesher. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Flesher.

Vicky was retired from Kroger, having started out in the floral department in the Steubenville store, and then moved over to the Weirton Kroger where she worked in various departments. She was Presbyterian by Faith. Vicky enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers, she also enjoyed cooking and catering.

Surviving are two sons, Jeremy Porter and his companion Chelsea Clark of Mingo Junction, OH and Joey (Jessica) Porter of Bloomingdale, OH; two brothers, Mark Flesher of Steubenville, OH an Billy (Renee) Flesher of Dillonvale, OH; two sisters, Tina (Roger) Paulman of New Cumberland, WV and Sandy (Frank) Flesher of Steubenville, OH; her companion, Dave Pernick of Mingo Junction, OH; the father of her children, Joseph Porter of Mingo Junction, OH; two grandchildren, Tyler and Jordan Porter; and her beloved cat, Miss Kitty.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Monday January 3rd from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral services at 5:00 p.m., with Rev. Jason Elliott, officiating. Gravesides services will be held on Tuesday at New Alexandria Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
