Shirley M. (Turick) Linn

Shirley M. Linn, 72, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Saturday December 7, 2024 at home.

She was born February 20, 1952 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph R. Turick and Betty Mae (Bateman) Turick Utta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Turick Sr. and John Turick.

Shirley was a caregiver her entire life. She cared for kids in the neighborhood and ran a daycare. She also cared for various elderly people in the community. She did everything for everybody and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Linn, whom she married June 19, 1971; two children, Angela (Leonard) Starr of New Alexandria, OH and John Linn and his fiancé Angela Burke Glover of Brilliant, OH; three sisters, Sandy D’Anniballe, Joanne Dennis, and Helen (Tom) Forcone; two brothers, Wayne (Eileen) Frey and Gary (Maureen) Frey; five grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth) Starr, Derek Starr, Hunter Starr, Caleb Linn and Rylee Glover; and four great-grandchildren, Auna, Neena, Scott Kason and Ryker Starr.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral services at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Sam Davis, officiating. Private interment at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee, WV.
