Sheila J. (Everson) Petras

Sheila J. Petras, 63, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Saturday June 1, 2024 at Weirton Medical Center.

She was born October 26, 1960 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Lawrence R. and Barbara L. (Lathem) Everson, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Persich.

Sheila was a homemaker and she enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter and spending time at the beach. She was a homebody and loved her family and grandbabies, that’s what made her happy.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Larry A. Petras, whom she married January 4, 1978; two daughters, Somer (Derek) Snyder of Steubenville, OH and Sunnie (Brian) Beckett of Bergholz, OH; four grandchildren, Addison Snyder and Remy, Sofia and Mason Beckett; and four siblings, Barbara (Greg) Verhovec of Rayland, OH, Janet (Dave) Filippi of Dover, OH, Laurie (Rich) Mayeres of Shadyside, OH and Lawrence R. Everson, Jr. of Dillonvale, OH.
