Sarah Coss Obituary

Sarah E. Coss, 89, of Rush Run, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, July 6, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Tucson, Arizona.

She was born April 11, 1931, in Turkey Point, Ohio, the daughter of the late Neil and Pearl (Fithen) Pflugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. “Bob” Coss; her son, Robert N. “Rob” Coss; three brothers, Joseph “Joe” Pflugh, Neil “Did” Pflugh, Richard “Rich” Pflugh; and two sisters, Grace Mellott and Drucilla “Dru” Torok.

Sarah graduated from Warren Consolidated High School, Tiltonsville, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a long-standing member of the Ohio Eastern Star. She attended Christ Church Methodist, Rush Run, Ohio and Christ Church United Methodists, Tucson, Arizona. She loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Surviving are her daughter, Betsy Coss (George Tomlinson) of Tucson, Arizona; brother, Samuel “Sam” (Mary) Pflugh of Mingo Junction, Ohio; sister, Ella Saxton of Rayland, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Paulette (Scivinsky) Coss of Rush Run, Ohio; two grandchildren, Miranda (Derek) Zoladz of Columbus, Ohio and Robert P. “Pauly” Coss of Rush Run, Ohio.

Private interment will take place at Hopewell Cemetery, in Warren Twp., Ohio.
