Rosemary Joan Giampolo

Rosemary Joan Giampolo, 92, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Saturday July 19, 2025, at home.

She was born January 21, 1933 in Mingo Junction, OH, a daughter of the late George J. and Anna (Buselov) Babela. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony P. Giampolo on April 1, 2007; and five siblings, George Babela, Mary Ferris, Paul Babela, Margaret Suffoletta and David Babela.

Rose graduated from Mingo High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church; the Catholic Womens Club and the Mingo Senior Center. She loved her card clubs and her card club ladies. Rose had a green thumb and enjoyed her flowers; she also loved to cook and bake.

Surviving are four children, Glenda (the late Terry) Zane of Mingo Junction, OH, Anthony P. (Michele) Giampolo, Jr. of Mingo Junction, OH, Diane (Preston) Woods of Steubenville, OH and Peter (Christine) Giampolo of Mingo Junction, OH; nine grandchildren, Andrea, Alexandra, Addison and Abraham Zane, Anthony Dean Giampolo, Leigha Giampolo, Peter Giampolo, II, Ashley Woods and DelShawn Woods; and two great-grandchildren, Adrianna Zane-Beadnell and Khyri Turner.

Friends will be received at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.
