Roger "Scotty" R Scott

Roger R. “Scotty” Scott, 70, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Saturday November 8, 2025, at his home in Brilliant, OH.

He was born January 26, 1955, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Walter “Butch” and Erma (Bell) Kernen. He was proceeded in death by a sister Debbie Niemi.

Scotty was a master welder who worked for RSV Demolition in Steubenville, OH.  He enjoyed fishing and boating as well as working on cars.  He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are five sons, Luke (Vanessa) Scott of Steubenville, OH, James Wilt of Brilliant, OH, Jessie (Haylie) Scott of Toronto, Jamie Scott of Toronto, and Jeremy Ross of Mingo Junction, OH; three daughters, Julie Scott of Toronto, OH, Jenna Ross of Mingo Junction, OH, and Makaylee Darrah of Brilliant, OH; Brother Tom (Susie) Scott, and sisters; Sandy (the late Bob) Wells of Brilliant, OH, Mary (the late Pete) Benvenutti of Brilliant, OH, Georgia (the late Paul) Jarman of Brilliant, OH, and Melissa (John) Palcic of Brilliant, OH, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.   He will be missed by his companion of 25 years Janis Waugaman.

Honoring Scotty’s wishes, there will be no services.
