Rebecca Devore, 51, passed away early morning on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH due to heart failure.
She was born July 1, 1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was a resident of Brilliant, Ohio and attended Mingo High School. She is preceded in death by her fun-loving brother, Richard “Joe” Pizzoferrato; and the woman she celebrated the life of daily, her beautiful mother, Millie L. Weatherhead.
Rebecca could always be found bundled up on the couch watching a good movie (or CSI), dancing to anything from Dolly Parton and Toby Keith to Pitbull and Pink, or playing with one of the many dogs that were a part of her life. Momma Goose, or MG, will be remembered as the life of the party, where there was never a moment that wasn’t filled with sarcasm or her intoxicating laughter.
She is survived by her father, Richard Pizzoferrato of Follansbee, WV; two daughters, Ashly Devore of Tiltonsville, OH and Devin Delauder of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren, Elionnah, Isaiah, and Jonee; a sister, Laura (Pizzoferrato) Johnston of Bergholz, OH; a brother, Jimmy Pahides of Mingo Junction, OH; and her loving boyfriend, Roger Lowe of Mingo Junction, OH.
Friends and family will be received to celebrate her life at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third Street, Brilliant on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her memorial service at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Russell Buchanan, officiating. Private interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
