Norman D. Buchanan

Norman D. Buchanan, 65, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Wednesday June 28, 2023 at home.

He was born June 1, 1958 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late David and Margaret (Smith) Buchanan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother David H. Buchanan.

Norman retired from Tri-State River Products out of Pennsylvania where he was a dredge captain. He was a member of the Mingo First United Presbyterian Church and the Mingo Sportsman Club. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Lynn (Fox) Buchanan, whom he married September 14, 1984; his son, Shane Buchanan of Mingo Junction, OH; three grandchildren, Khloe, Evan and Owen Buchanan; a special little girl, Mina; a brother, Tim (Debbie) Buchanan of Brilliant, OH; two sisters, Barbara Roush of Brilliant, OH and Davina (Gene) Evans of Parma, OH; aunts, uncles and wonderful nieces and nephews. Norman was blessed in his final days to be touched by old friendships.

Friends will be received to celebrate his life at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of his memorial service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Vaughn Foster, Sr., officiating. Private inurnment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
