Mary Lou Rogers, 83, of Rayland, Ohio, passed away Wednesday March 4, 2020, at Gables Care Center in Hopedale, OH.
She was born August 15, 1936 in Brilliant, OH, a daughter of the late Frank and Cloa (Wine) Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tim Rogers; a grandson, Dustin Wilson; four brothers, one of them her twin; and one sister.
Mary Lou owned Mary Lou’s Ceramic House for 20 years and loved the girls that came to her classes. She is a member of the Brilliant Christian Church. Mary Lou and Jim enjoyed playing Euchre at various places all over the valley. They also enjoyed traveling, road trips, and camping and fishing at Tappan Lake when they were younger.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Jim Rogers, whom she married September 6, 1952; two children, Larry (Beverly) Rogers of Knoxville, TN and Pamela “Hope” Rogers of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Linda (Jack) Jackson of Mingo Junction, OH; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Janet) Rogers, Brandon Rogers, TJ Rogers and Katelin Rogers; and two great-grandchildren, Wesley and Peyton Rogers.
In following with Mary Lou’s wishes there will be no services.
