Mary Kay Means, 79, of Steubenville, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday September 7, 2021 in her home.
She was born December 15, 1941 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late John K. and Estella (Humble) Wiedaman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. “Bill” Means on March 23, 2007; and a brother, John E. “Jack” Wiedaman.
Mary Kay was a retired Registered Nurse. She worked at the former St. John Medical Center in Steubenville from 1961 to 1973 where she was the head nurse on the 5th floor. She also worked at the former Forester Nursing Home from 1996 to 2004 where she was the director of nursing.
Surviving are two sons, John A. (Kerri) Means of Logan, OH and William D. “Bill” (Shannon) Means of Wintersville, OH; and a granddaughter, Jordan Means.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 12-2 and 5-7 at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH, where her funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Steubenville, OH. Masks are required at the funeral home.
