Mary Ann McDonald

Mary Ann McDonald, 74, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away, peacefully Friday November 3, 2023 in Follansbee, WV.

She was born January 14, 1949 in Bellaire, OH, a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Bennington) Travis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Kenneth R. Clark, Jr., Margaret Ann Howard and John C. Clark; a brother, Richard Travis; a sister, Ruth Ann Evans; and her former husband, Kenneth “Ken” Clark, Sr.

Mary Ann retired in 2006 from Nickles Bakery Thrift Store in Steubenville where she worked for 23 years. She was a member of the Brilliant American Legion Post 573 Auxiliary and the former Steubenville Moose Lodge. She loved baking and cooking for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching movies, playing casino games on the computer, porch sitting, and laying on a raft in the pool during the summer.

Surviving are two children, Mary Frances Wilson of Mingo Junction, OH and Mark (Jodi) Clark of Steubenville, OH; two brothers, Robert Travis of Bellaire, OH and Harold Travis, Jr. of Flushing, OH; fourteen grandchildren, Renee and Brent Staudacher, Jeffrey Howard II, Ashley, Landen and Susan Wilson, Dustin, Marki, Miah, Carson, Jace, Miranda, Jonathon and Braylynn Clark; twelve great-grandchildren; and her best friends, Cheryl and Ron.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Mantos, officiating. There will be a dinner at 6:00 p.m. at the Wintersville Community Chapel, 27 Ward Dr., Wintersville, OH 43953.
