Loretta Jean Barker

Loretta J. Barker, 82, of Steubenville, OH, passed away peacefully Thursday August 15, 2024 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV.

She was born August 6, 1942 in Jefferson, PA, a daughter of the late Betty (Hartzell) Johnson and Anthony Shore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father who raised her, Anthony John Cominotti; her husband, Milton Barker; a daughter, whom she raised, Richelle Reitter; and two sisters, Rita Wineman and Bonnie Lou Grubler.

Loretta was a homemaker and Baptist by Faith.

Surviving are two granddaughters, Stephanie (Ronald) Karlosky of Carrollton, OH and Redina (Jay) Beadnell of Amsterdam, OH; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Karlosky and Alexander and Nathaniel Beadnell; a brother, Frank “Sonny” (Marilyn) Cominotti of Monroe, SC; and two half-sisters, Antionette Moore of Wintersville, OH and Juanita (Brad) Groen of Mankato, MN.

In following with Loretta’s wishes there will be no services. Private entombment at Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.
