Lois M (Rupert) Moffat

Lois M. Moffat, 67, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Tuesday October 29, 2024 at Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.

She was born March 4, 1957 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Raymond L. and Shirley L. (Brown) Rupert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Margie E. Rupert, Barbara Ann "Queenie" Gillespie and Linda Rae Moffat.

Lois worked at the former Kmart for 21 years and was a member of Harmony Church in Mingo. She enjoyed Antiquing, going on gypsy vacations as well as watching the Green Bay Packers and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Surviving are her husband, Kyle A. Moffat whom she married August 6, 1977; two children, Alex (Danielle) Moffat and Tiffany (William) Calandros; two brothers, Michael (Nancy) Rupert and Joseph Rupert; a sister, Bethany Rupert; her best friend and “Sistah”, Lynda (Bobby) Blackburn; four grandchildren, Raegan, Paige and Ethan Moffat and Jordan Calandros; and her loyal companion, Harley.

Lois had many special nieces and nephews along with others that claimed her as their "Mamabear" that she loved dearly and spoke often of. She was a friend to all, a true listener, and a compassionate soul who touched many lives. Her legacy lives on in the love she instilled in her family, in the kindness she shared with her friends, and in the countless lives she impacted.

The family is inviting everyone to attend church services at Harmony Church on Sunday November 3rd at 10:00 a.m. During the service they will be remembering Lois’s life.
