Kenneth K. “Kenny” Gordon, 68, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Monday October 4, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

He was born September 13, 1953 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late James H. and Mary C. (Ludewig) Gordon, Sr.

Kenny was a retired substitute math teacher working in various school throughout Jefferson County for many years. He also worked for Weirton Steel Corp. until 1981. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a member of the Mingo First United Presbyterian Church. Ken was a former eagle scout and loved to fish. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Sports teams (Steelers, Penguins and Pirates) and was a true Mingo Indians fan.

Surviving are two daughters, Kristen (Stephen) Alexander of Spotsylvania, VA and Katie (Brian) Barcalow of Hilliard, OH; three brothers, James H. (Patti) Gordon, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, William Gordon of Norfolk, VA and Scott (Heather) Gordon of St. Clairsville, OH; two grandsons, Jacob and Jonah Alexander; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Masks are recommended at the funeral home. Private interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
