Karen S. VanKirk

Karen S. VanKirk, 62, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Thursday July 20, 2023 at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville, OH.

She was born October 26, 1960 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late George Martin and Margaret Ellen (Cassidy) VanKirk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Grant and Charlotte Forst.

Karen was a retired security guard for G4S Secure Solutions and a member of the Two Ridges Presbyterian Church in Wintersville, OH. She enjoyed taking care of her birds, they were her love.

Surviving are her brother, Robert (the late Kathy) VanKirk of Martins Ferry, OH; her best friend Judy (John) Wszeborowski of Mingo Junction, OH; and many nieces.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, where her funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m.  with Pastor John Cook, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
