Judith Faye "Judy" Starr

Judith F. “Judy” Starr, 79, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Thursday December 23, 2021 at Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV

She was born June 29, 1942 in East Springfield, OH, a daughter of the late Jack Pearce and Ethel R. (Salsbury) Pearce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Gus Farmer; and two brothers, Jack and Bob Pearce.

Judy was a homemaker and a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Steubenville, OH.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Starr, whom she married May 13, 1961; two children, Larry Allen Starr of Marysville, OH and Stacey (Keith) Handzus of Mingo Junction, OH; six grandchildren, Robert (Nancy) Handzus, Jr. of Mingo Junction, OH, Bryan (Elizabeth) Handzus of Benwood, WV, Kayelynn Handzus of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, AmberLeigh (Nathan) Molby of Columbus, OH, Addison Starr of Columbus, OH and Annika Starr of Marysville, OH; two sisters, Linda Wedlake of Richmond, OH and Cynthia Renee Adams of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister-in-law, Charlene Pearce of Marysville. OH; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at St, Mark Lutheran Church, 133 Lovers Lane, Steubenville on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral services at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Scott Kuntz officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.

Arrangements were entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Homes, Mingo Junction, OH.
