John W. Vincent, 85, of Sidney, OH, formerly of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Sunday October 30, 2022, at the Hospice of Miami County in Troy, OH.
He was born February 17, 1937 in Weirton, WV. He was preceded in death by his mother, Athalia Vincent; his wife, Dorothea A. (Banovsky) Vincent; and two sisters, Bonnie Waugh and Ellen Vincent.
John was a Tool and Die Maker at Fort Steuben Metals in Weirton, WV, Colliers Steel in Colliers, WV and retired from Applied Dynamics in Weirton, WV. He was a member of Finley United Methodist church where he was a former custodian and held various leadership positions. He enjoyed going to car shows, woodworking, metal fabrication and boating.
He is survived by a daughter, Lori (Melvin) Timberlake of Columbus, OH; a son, Mark (Cristal) Vincent of Sidney, OH; a sister, Carol (David) Kuchinski of Follansbee, WV; and a granddaughter, Ashley Timberlake and her husband Steven Fathbruckner of Grove City, OH.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction on Saturday November 5th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Douglas George, officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction, OH.
