James J. “Jim” Boyuk, Sr., 68, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Tuesday December 8, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born February 4, 1952 in Follansbee, WV, a son of the late Walter and Helen (Nemeth) Boyuk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David A. Boyuk; and a brother, Bill Boyuk.
Jim retired from both Weirton Steel Corp where he was a millwright at the caster and the seasonal department at Lowes in Steubenville. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonda (Thompson) Boyuk, whom he married August 6, 1972; a son, James J. (Vicki) Boyuk, Jr. of Mingo Junction, OH; a daughter, Bonnie Boyuk of Manhattan, NY; two brothers, Walter Boyuk of Columbus, OH and Gary Boyuk of Weirton, WV; two sisters, Mary Kay (Roger) Wright of New York and Nancy (Bernie) Snodgrass of Follansbee, WV; two grandchildren, Gabriella Boyuk and Katelyn Boyuk; and very close family friend, Madison Smith.
Friends and family are invited to the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of his memorial service at 6:00 p.m. with Kenny Kourim, Jr. officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Masks are absolutely required.
