Holly Osz Obituary

Holly A. Osz, 46, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Monday February 6, 2023 at Mt Carmel St. Ann’s in Westerville, OH, of natural causes.

She was born December 19, 1976 in Mingo Junction, OH. She was preceded in death by a brother, Trevor Osz; her maternal grandparents, Olen and Marie Greer; and her paternal grandparents, Stephen and Louise Osz, Sr. She was also preceded in death by two special aunts, Donita Rine and Bridget Osz; and two much loved uncles, Samuel Aceto and Joseph Osz.

Surviving are her mother, Debra (Greer) Hale of Mingo Junction, OH; her father, Stephen Osz, Jr. of Fairmont, WV; her longtime companion, Wade Manns of Columbus, OH; two daughters, Taylor Muntz of Dayton, OH and Soleil Osz of Mingo Junction, OH; three siblings, Shawn (Caroline) Osz of Columbia, SC, Troy (April) Osz of Germany and Jeannie (Jordan) Webster of Winter Park, FL; two aunts, Linda Aceto of Steubenville, OH and Brenda (Sam) Marchetta of Beaver Falls, PA; several cousins; and many friends from all over.

Holly was an assistant manager at the Family Dollar in Columbus. She spent 15 years in Clearwater, FL where she worked a variety of interesting jobs.

She enjoyed anything fun, and if Holly was there – it was undoubtedly fun! You couldn’t be around her for more than an hour without having at least one deep belly laugh. She took everyday encounters and turned them into the most hilarious stories, always poking fun at herself in the process.  Her amazing wit and endless supply of one liners – along with her perceptive takes on situations – kept those around her howling with laughter. That same perceptive spirit could be very blunt and direct. She wasn’t one to shy away from confronting a person or situation.

Holly was strong, she was compassionate and she could relate to people with an exceptional clarity. Many are the ones that claim her as “the best friend I’ve ever had”. Like all of us she had some regrets but through the years she evolved, she learned and she grew from her mistakes. She loved deeply and accepted people for who they were.

Oh Holly, your absence is so profoundly felt! Thank you for the beautiful memories you gave us to cherish. They will forever remain precious. R.I.P.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Friday February 17th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Sam Marchetta, officiating.
