Goldie E. (Burgess) Coleman

Goldie E. Coleman, 89, of Gibsonburg, OH, passed away Wednesday August 13, 2025 at St. Catherines Manor of Fostoria in Fostoria, OH

She was born December 19, 1935 in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Russell W. and Goldie E. (James) Burgess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Burgess and Herbie Burgess; and a sister, Dorothy Fisher.

Goldie was a homemaker and Methodist by Faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing and vacationing in Canada every year.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. “Bob” Coleman, whom she married November 19, 1955; a son, Douglas (Debbie) Coleman of Fostoria, OH; a sister, Pearl (Rick) Harnish of Manchester, MD; three grandsons, Josh (Crystal) Coleman, Shaun Coleman and his fiancé Rosie Young, and Dereck Coleman and his companion Aliecia Moran; and six great-grandchildren, Abryanna, Cheyenne, Joselyn and Selena Coleman and Izzy and Cady Rood.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Monday August 18th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Westling, officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH.
