Elizabeth C. "Liz" Monroe Bonar

Elizabeth C. ‘Liz” Monroe Bonar, 64, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Thursday July 18, 2024 at the Acute Specialty Hospital in Weirton, WV, surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born October 16, 1959 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph H. Monroe and Mildred (Monigold) Monroe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son Frankie; and three siblings, Joseph, William and Ruth.

Liz was loved by all who knew her and would always help anyone in need. She would do anything to make you smile. She loved singing and dancing to her music; her family; and her dogs.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank Bonar; two daughters, Jessica and Melissa (Marcus); eight grandchildren, Courtney, Cassandra (Trayton), Kenzi (Charity), Jordyn, Caleb, Nathan, Ava, and Marlee; seven great-grandchildren; three siblings, Jimmy (Debbie), Karen (Chuck), and Wanitta; and several nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at Noon, with Pastor Jack Jackson, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
