Dick Rine

Dick Rine, 74, of New Alexandria, OH, passed away Wednesday June 26, 2024 in the emergency room at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

He was born June 7, 1950 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Elwood “Junior” “Woody” and Clara F. (Mayle) Rine, Jr.

Dick was a retired Millwright, working at the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. for 51 years then more recently at AK Steel. He owned Rine’s Ferrier Service and loved horses, he enjoyed both riding them and showing them. Dick was a Senior Jefferson County Fair Board member.

Surviving his wife, Gail (Bell) Rine, whom he married December 12, 1987; two children, Rich (Cindy) Rine of Steubenville, OH and Heidi Rine of Atlanta, GA; a niece whom he raised, Amber Cowden of Steubenville, OH; a sister, Kay (Norm) Wilson of New Alexandria, OH; a brother, Chuck (Lynn) Rine, of New Alexandria, OH; six grandchildren, Adrienne, Mariah, Sydnee, Kaleb, Laney and Logan; two great-grandchildren; a niece, Angel Wilson; two nephews, Eric (Abbey) Wilson and Joey (Gabby) Rine; and several great-nieces and nephews.

In following with Dick’s wishes he was cremated.

A celebration of his life will take place on Sunday July 21st starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds 4H Kitchen in Smithfield, Ohio.
