Daniel V. "Dan" Gamble Obituary

Daniel V. “Dan” Gamble, 63, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Thursday June 20, 2024 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born August 25, 1960 in Camden, NJ a son of the late Vern and Eleanor (Griffith) Gamble. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Olive Gamble; and a sister, Cassie Gibson.

Dan worked for the last 13 years as a Warehouse Mechanic at Voto Sales in Steubenville. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and was a member of the Wintersville American Legion Post 557. He earned his Eagle Scout rank and was also a Boy Scout leader for many years.  Dan was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding.

Surviving his wife, Deb (McCartney) Gamble whom he married on March 21, 1987; three children, Brent (Bridget) Gamble of Copley, OH, Danielle (Zachary) Fisher of Wintersville, OH and Shane (Barb) Gamble of Akron, OH; two grandchildren, Kian and Catherine Gamble; a sister, Helen Keenan and a brother, Jimmy Gamble, both of Richmond, VA.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Dan on Friday, July 5 from 3-6pm at Cross Creek Township Park, 399 Marshall Rd., Wintersville, OH 43953.

Memorial contributions may be directed in Dan’s memory to the Wintersville American Legion Post 557, 1212 Two Ridge Road, Wintersville, OH 43953.
