Dale Dollison Obituary
Dale G. “Mr. D.” Dollison, 72, of Brilliant, OH, passed away of Covid-19 on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.
He was born November 26, 1948 in Akron, OH a son of the late Donald G. Dollison, Sr. and Ilda J. (Blair) Browning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Eleanor Dollison and step-father, James Browning.
Dale proudly served his country as a Machinist Mate in the U.S. Navy. He also had fond memories of working on the lobster boat at Keenan’s Restaurant, owned by his mother-in-law on Long Island, NY. After retirement from the Navy, Dale worked as a facilities manager for various colleges. He helped his wife, Brenda, run the Teddy Bear Daycare in Brilliant and also owned several rental properties in the area. He enjoyed doing construction, fixing and building things.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda (Wright) Dollison, whom he married on August 22, 2008; a son, John (Elizabeth) Dollison of Colorado and grandson Brian of New Jersey; two step-sons, TJ Wright and his companion Tatasha Jones and Josh Grimm and his companion Jen Gregory of Steubenville, OH; a brother, Donald G. Dollison, Jr. of Akron, OH; a sister, Darlene Jean (Harlen) Santee of Akron, OH; four step-grandchildren, Jusante, Legacy, Truly “True Bug” and Reminiscent Wright; the daycare children he had a special bond with, Bentley, Bristol, Derek, Kaiden, Levi, Elias, Zeke, Kolten, Noah and Adilyn; and many nieces and nephews.
At Dale’s request there will be no services.
