Cheryl A. Roe

Cheryl A. Roe, 65, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Thursday September 19, 2024 at home.

She was born September 6, 1959 in Steubenville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence G. Roe, Jr. on May 14, 2021; and her mother, Shirley Ann (Coss) Long Stubbs.

Cheryl retired on September 1, 2024 from Wells Township where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of Rosemont Chapel. Cheryl enjoyed helping the community and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her father, Richard “Dick” Stubbs of Brilliant, OH; a son, Lawrence G. (Heather) Roe, III of Smithfield, OH, a daughter, Elizabeth (Scott) Starr of Mingo Junction, OH; four brothers, Brian (Juli) Long of Steubenville, OH, Thomas (Amy) Long of Wintersville, OH, Bruce Stubbs of Brilliant, OH and Michael (Bonnie) Stubbs of Smithfield, OH; three sisters, Debra Dailey and her companion Wilfredo Vazuez of Lanette, AL, Sheila Wright of New Market, TN and Patricia Stubbs of Brilliant, OH; eight grandchildren, Auna, Neena, Scott Kason and Ryker Starr, Lila Roe, Dalton Barnes, Dayne Zinn and Shayla Zinn; and two great-grandchildren, Octavia and Oaklyn Zinn.

Friends are invited to celebrate Cheryl’s life on Sunday September 29th from 2-8 p.m. at the Wells Township Community Center (above the Brilliant Library), 107 Steuben St., Brilliant, OH. Food/drinks are welcome.
