Charles E. "Poge" Rogers, Jr.

Charles E. “Poge” Rogers, Jr., 68, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away suddenly Thursday December 15, 2022 at home.

He was born May 4, 1954 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Charles E. and Alberta M. (Brown) Rogers, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelvey Jean Rager; a brother, Joseph Rogers; a sister, Martha “Mart” Tanner; and a son-in-law, Phil Glasgow. 

Poge was a retired custodian for Indian Creek School District and he used to enjoy hunting and fishing and putting together jigsaw puzzles. He loved the time he spent as a Brilliant Little League softball coach. 

He is survived by four step-children, Kimberly Glasgow, of Rayland, OH, William “Chip” Ralston, Jr. of Rayland, OH, Beverly Ralston of Mingo Junction, OH and Roberta “Byrd” (Darrell) Waderker of Brilliant, OH; three sisters, Brenda Brown of Brilliant, OH, Colleen (Jeff) Weaver of Bloomingdale, OH and Linda Keener of Mingo Junction, OH; ten grandchildren, Brandon (Matthew) and Austin (Kylie) Williams, Jennifer and Joshua Glasgow, Chelsey Ralston, Madison Thompson, Alexis (John) and Lacie Knutsen, Cristal (Christopher) Worwa and Kyle Waderker; and three great-grandchildren, Gavin Flaugher, Lyla and Gracie Worwa. 

In following with Poge’s wishes there will be no services.

Arrangements were entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Home, Brilliant.
