Charles A. "Chuck" Russell

Charles A. “Chuck” Russell, 69, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Wednesday June 28, 2023 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, Ohio.

He was born March 24, 1954 in New Eagle, PA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, whom raised him, Charles Frederick Russell and Thelma “Louise” (Dunlop) Russell; his birth mother, Sara Russell Sarnoskie Fronzaglio; two brothers, Jon and Charles “Dodge” Russell; and his half-brother, Cary Sarnoskie.

Chuck retired from Weirton Steel Corp where he worked on the railroad, he was also a rigger and he then retired from the refrigeration department. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and he enjoyed cooking, photography and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa (Koslik) Russell, whom he married November 18, 1979; two sons, Chuck Russell II and his girlfriend Ashley Renforth of Steubenville, OH and Christopher Russell of Lakewood, CO; two grandsons, Jacob and Warren Russell; a sister, Sharon (Gerald) Adams of Richmond, OH; a half-sister, Karen (Scott) Young of Charleroi, PA; and two sisters-in-law, Cathy Russell of Follansbee, WV and Judy Russell of Florida.

Friends will be received at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Wednesday July 5th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant. Private inurnment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH
