Carole J. Jaros

Carole J. Jaros, 79, of Brilliant, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 19, 2023 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

She was born September 1, 1943 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Walter Stewart and Lillian (Ross) Stewart Kovach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ronald A. Jaros, whom she married January 4, 1964, he passed away March 25, 2017; her step-father, Louis Kovach, Jr.; three step-brothers, Fred, Gary and Bruce Kovach; two aunts, Audrey (Mike) Malesick and Joann (Bill) LaRue; and four cousins, George “Lash” LaRue, Nancy Malesick, Barbara Worrell and Joseph LaRue.

Carole graduated in 1961 from Brilliant High School; she was a retired Banker and Methodist by Faith. Carole enjoyed going to senior swim at Aracoma Park, reading, and traveling in her earlier years.

Surviving are a cousin, Cathy (Harold “Buster”) Woodward; a special cousin-in-law, Cathy Svoboda Emeterio; Carole’s very special companion, Stan Petrosky; her healthcare agent, Jane Ann (Ray) Degenhardt Harbert; and a circle of friends and beloved family that she is very close to.

In following with Carole’s wishes, graveside services will be held at the top of the hill at New Alexandria Cemetery on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Daugherty, officiating. A celebration of her life will continue at 12:00 p.m. in the social hall at the Brilliant Methodist Church.
