Betty M. Singleton

Betty M. Singleton, 89, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Tuesday June 15, 2021 at Sienna Skilled Nursing Home in Wintersville, OH.

She was born December 13, 1931 in Rush Run, OH a daughter of the late Albert L. and Hazel B. (Peck) Beall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Singleton; a sister, Bonnie Doan; and four brothers, Robert “Bob”, Floyd, Walter “Gene” and William R. “Billy” Beall.

Betty was a housekeeper for 25 years at the former Ohio Valley Hospital. She was also a member of the Rush Run Christian Union Church and the Brilliant American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Timothy (Virginia) Singleton of Brilliant, OH; a granddaughter, Melinda Sue Singleton of Rush Run, OH; a great-grandson, Remington Michael Derby; and her good friend and neighbor, Pearl Monroe of Mingo Junction, OH.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Legion Auxiliary services will take place at 1:00 p.m. and her funeral service will follow with Pastor Todd Miller, officiating. Private interment at Hopewell Cemetery, Rayland, OH. Masks are up to the discretion of the attendee and are available upon request.
