Barbara A. "Pat" Blanchard

Barbara A. “Pat” Blanchard, 84, passed away Sunday February 6, 2022, at Southwest Residential Hospice in Strongsville, OH.

She was born January 25, 1938 in Reedy, WV, a daughter of the late William O. and Florell F. (Carpenter) Flesher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Blanchard, Sr. on June 29, 2018; four brothers, William, Jim, Bud and Van Flesher; and four sisters, Kay Haught, Donna Kendle, Mary Jane Wells and Nancy Flesher.

Pat was a homemaker and a professional cake decorator. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Kingsland, GA and the New Beginnings Baptist Church in Toronto, OH. She was very active in her church work and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, Charles R. (the late Donna) Blanchard, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Cheryl (Lowell) Strick of Middleburg Heights, OH; four grandchildren, Charles (Nikki) Blanchard, III, Tom (the late Cecilia) Blanchard, Sedona Strick and her fiancé Andrew Sierawski and Ethan Strick and his longtime girlfriend Rebecca Madsen; and two great-grandchildren, Vanessa and Valerie Blanchard.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and also on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at Noon with Dr. Lawrence Kimball, officiating. Private interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
