Arden E. Westfall, 61, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Monday December 13, 2021 in the emergency room at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.
He was born December 28, 1959 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Arden R. and Shirley D. (Jackson) Westfall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Westfall.
Arden served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic. He was a member of the Riddles Run House of Prayer and he also spent a lot of time serving in the background at Bay Six. He enjoyed hunting and restoring old cars and trucks, especially the 4th generation truck he has been working on.
Surviving are his wife, Margie (Flesher) Westfall, whom he married on December 3, 1977; two sons, Jim (Shawna) Westfall of Mingo Junction, OH and Bobby (Stacy) Westfall of Weirton, WV; a daughter, Leeann (Dale) Russ; five siblings, Debbie (Rodney) Rusnak of Dayton, OH, Ardeen Strong of Burkesville, KY, Rita (Lonnie) Wolfe of Tionesta, PA, Peggy (J.O.) Henry of Irondale, OH and Donna (Dan) Escobedo of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren, Corban and Samantha “Sammi” Westfall, Carter and Conner Russ, and Arabella, Madison, Jackson and Charlotte Westfall; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, on Monday December 20th from 2-5 p.m. At 5:00 p.m. there will be Military Honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad, then funeral services with Rev. Jack Jackson, officiating.
