Anita McCain Obituary
Anita E. McCain, 80, of Rayland, OH, formerly of Manchester, NH, passed away Tuesday October 19, 2021 while in route to Trinity West in Steubenville, OH.
She was born March 10, 1941 in Manchester, NH, a daughter of the late Irving and Evelyn (Ameen) Pelletier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband who was a retired career Air Force Veteran, John W. McCain on March 12, 1993; and a brother, Richard Pelletier.
Anita worked at NASA during the Mars Viking Projects. She was also retired from the State of New Hampshire. Anita was Catholic by Faith. She always liked staying busy and had two jobs most of the time, some of which were selling Bealine Clothing and Tupperware. Anita enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, going to yard sales, spending time with her family, watching MASH and bowling in a league.
Surviving are three sons, Michael (Tina) McCain of Brilliant, OH, Daniel (Linda) McCain of Mingo Junction, OH and Kevin (Shawndel) McCain of Rayland, OH; two brothers Stephen Pelletier of Scottsdale, AZ and William Pelletier of Indiana; and eight grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral services at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Monogioudis, officiating. MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED. Private interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
