IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William T.
Stoddart
April 16, 1931 – October 19, 2017
William T. "Bill" Stoddart, 86, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Thursday October 19, 2017 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, Ohio.
He was born April 16, 1931 in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a son of the late William M. and Genevieve (Ullom) Stoddart Seminak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Pete Seminak; his wife, Anna "Nan" Stoddart on August 19, 1994; a son, Brian J. Stoddart, Sr.; and a brother, George Stoddart.
Bill retired from the Blast Furnace Department at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp where he worked for 42 years. During that time he also worked at the Mingo Fire Department as a Fireman and E.M.T. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church; the Mingo Lions Club, where he formerly served as President; and the Mingo G.K.L. Wildlife Association. He was an avid reader; enjoyed carpentry and "rigging things up"; and most importantly loved his family and was always more concerned for them, rather than himself.
Surviving are two sons, William M. (Karen) Stoddart of Pittsburgh, PA and Eric (Debbie) Stoddart of Mingo Junction, Ohio; a sister, Doris Fulton of Springfield, OH; five grandchildren, Erica Stoddart, Annie Stoddart, Joey (Nicole) Stoddart, Jr., Abby (Jason) Mackey and Tori (Ed) Presley; three great-grandchildren, Gabriella Renee Stoddart, Ryder Mackey and Stella Marie Grace Stoddart; and Bill's longtime companion, Norma Yenchochic of Mingo Junction, OH.
Friends will be received at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mingo Safety Forces, 501 Commercial Ave., Mingo Junction, Ohio 43938.
Arrangements were entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Homes, Mingo Junction.
