William "Neal" Kieffer, Jr., 73, of Mingo Jct., OH (Goulds), passed away peacefully Saturday July 5, 2025 in his home with his family by his side, after a year long battle with cancer.

He was born January 4, 1952, in Weirton, WV a son of the late Wm. Neal Kieffer, Sr. and Bertha "Iona" (Furbee) Kieffer. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Janet (Schulte) Kieffer and his only son, Wm. Neal "Nubbs" Kieffer, III.

Neal is survived by his devoted daughter, Jodie Kieffer of Mingo Jct., OH; his three beloved grandchildren, Jesse Crim, Mary Crim and George Crim III; and Faith Willis, whom he treated like one of his grandkids.

Neal worked as a coke handler for 47 years at the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Coke Plant in Follansbee, WV.

Neal's passion was maintaining his gardens and growing many various types of plants. He also enjoyed hunting for Morels and Ramps and some of his "go to" spots are still a mystery to this day. His favorite place to be, was camping in Tyler County, WV where he and the Schulte family built a cabin out of the trees on the property which was dubbed "Camp Edward".

Neal was very good at short witted humor along with comments which either made you laugh or kept you on your toes. His choice of words and facial expressions were a big part of his charm and will be sadly missed.

Per Neal's wishes, there will not be a funeral service, instead a celebration of his life will be held at Neal's home on Saturday July 26th starting at 4:00 p.m.
