William F. "Bill" Brown, Sr., 86, of Rayland, OH, passed away Friday March 2, 2018 in the Carriage Inn of Cadiz.

He was born February 6, 1932 in Rush Run, OH, a son of the late Clarence W. and May E. (Fithen) Brown, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary F. (Fry) Brown; and their son, Mike "Monk" Brown; a granddaughter, Heather Sensibaugh; eight brothers, Arthur "Art", Daniel "Danny", Clarence "Wes", Russell, Joseph, Clifford "Lem", Carl "Baldy", and Charles Brown; and two sisters, Martha Seabright and two infant sisters.

After graduating from High School he served his country in U.S. Marine Corps. He was a hard worker, he retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp, where he worked in the Locomotive Shop. He was a member of the Wintersville Baptist Temple.

Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Joan B. (Buffington) Timko Brown; his son, Billy (Jane) Brown, Jr. of Rayland, OH; two daughters, Milene Phillips of Rayland. OH and Joyce (Jerry) Stackhouse of Cadiz, Ohio; his grandchildren, Carrie, Matt and Ashley and his great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his extended family of step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant. There will also be viewing on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Rush Run Church of Christ in Christian Union, with Pastor Roger Wayne officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH, with military honors by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
