Thomas D. Sabatino, Jr., 86, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Wednesday December 26, 2018 at the Lancia Villa Royale Nursing Home in Steubenville, OH.

He was born April 25, 1932 in Mingo Junction, Ohio a son of the late Thomas D. and Fannie (LaPenna) Sabatino, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa (Orsini) Sabatino on May 17, 1985; four brothers, Phil, Joe, Tony and Dan Sabatino; and a sister, Grace Slavin.

Tom retired in 1980 from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp where he was a Millwright. He graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School in 1950.  He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Loyal Order of Moose #619. He was a charter member of the Mingo Knights of Columbus Council #4361 where he was a past Grand Knight and a past Faithful Navigator of the Father Bigelow Assembly of the K of C.  He was Knight of the Year for the Ohio State Council Knights of Columbus from 1979-1980.

Surviving are three sons, Thomas G. (Karen) Sabatino of Mingo Junction, OH, Daniel (Beth) Sabatino of Follansbee, WV and William (Mary Cay) Sabatino of Dublin, OH; a daughter, Lisa Marie (Larry) Chifulini of Brackenridge, PA; and eight grandchildren, Kristen, Tera, Daniel, Olivia, Emily and Hannah Sabatino and Natalie and Dominic Chifulini.

Friends will be received on Friday December 28th from 4-8 p.m.at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction. On Saturday there will be viewing at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:00 a.m.  with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

On Friday there will be a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. and also a K of C Rosary Service 7:30 p.m.
