Thomas Lee Moore, 78, of Brilliant, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Trinity Medical Center West Hospital in Steubenville, OH.

He was born January 26, 1944, in Martins Ferry, OH, son of the late Wilbur and Amelia "Mae" (Klan) Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur "Butch" Moore; and brother-in-law, Paul Clites.

Thomas grew up in Rush Run, OH, graduating from Brilliant High School in 1961. He worked 45 years at both the Ferro Alloy and Cardinal Plants in Brilliant as an Equipment Operator and later Coal Yard Supervisor. He was a faithful member of the Meadowbrook Church of God in Rayland, OH, attended Sunday services and Bible study at the First Presbyterian Church of Brilliant, OH, and participated in the weekly Lunch Bunch gatherings at the George's Run Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading his Bible, playing guitar, telling jokes, and drinking coffee with friends.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda (Enoch) Moore, whom he married on July 12, 1969; six children:  Kyle (Rebecca) Moore of Carmel, IN; Shannon (Bill) Davis of Bethel, OH; Lance (Heather) Moore of Murfreesboro, TN; Darren (Jayme) Moore of Sunbury, OH; Allison (Steve) Cornelius of Morrow, OH, and Kent (Erin) Moore of Albuquerque, NM; 16 grandchildren:  Naomi, Malachi, Simeon and Miriam Moore; Willa, Griffin and Campbell Davis; Parker and Wyatt Moore; Harper and Landis Moore; Stella and Trenton Cornelius; Elliott, Jude, and Violet Moore; five siblings: Dorothy (the late Ken) Davis of Rayland, OH; James (the late Jessie) Moore of Weirton, WV; Phyllis (Keith) Long of Rayland, OH; Leona (Bart) Millard of Jefferson City, MO, and Betty (Keith) Thomas of Follansbee, WV; a sister-in-law, Pat Moore of Rayland, OH; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH on Thursday, December 15th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.  On Friday there will be additional viewing from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Meadowbrook Church of God in Rayland, OH, with Pastor Marvin Schooler officiating.  Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
