Thomas E. "Hoover" Hoover, 75, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Friday February 28, 2020, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.

He was born September 3, 1944 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Francis and Bertie (Jackson) Hoover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Hoover.

Tom worked for 30 years for Ohio Coal Company. He then opened Hoovers Auto Body shop until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Linda (Merritt) Hoover, whom he married December 13, 1993; five daughters, Tamye Hoover of Steubenville, OH, Sabrina (John) Fox of Colliers, WV, Sandy (Bruce) Parr of Colliers, WV, Connie (Ernie) Shannon of Steubenville, OH and Laura (Candace) Haas of Front Royal, VA; fourteen grandchildren, Kayla, Allyssa, Cory, Ethan, Robert, Russell, Johnny, Caitlin, McKenzie, Chloe, Nina, Haley, Hayden and Garrett; three great-grandsons, Kyler, Ryder and Brantley; a brother, Richard (Lucille) Hoover of Weirton, WV; and a special nephew, David Hoover of Steubenville, OH.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Susan Clegg, officiating. Interment will follow at Center Chapel Cemetery.
