Stephen A. "Steve" Boyd, 67, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Sunday September 5, 2021 at Weirton Medical Center.

He was born July 20, 1954 in Dennison, OH a son of the late John and Doris (Hawkins) Boyd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother John Jay Boyd.

Steve retired after 35 years from the AEP Cardinal Plant where he was a Mechanic A. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years during Vietnam and was a member of the Brilliant American Legion Post 573. Steve graduated from Brilliant High School in 1972 and was on the Brilliant High School Hall of Fame Committee. He enjoyed spending time with his grandbabies, they were his life.

Surviving are his wife, Rita (Wine) Boyd, whom he married on June 29, 1974; two daughters, Tonya (Tony) Porreca of Toronto, OH and Stefanie (Geordie) Lindsay of Smithfield, OH; five grandchildren, Anthony, Jr., Elaina and Angelo Porreca, George "Preston" Lindsay V and Colin Lindsay.
