Shirley D. Westfall, 81, of Glendale, AZ, formerly of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Sunday January 15, 2017 at the home of her daughter Donna.

She was born April 19, 1935 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Bennington) Jackson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arden Westfall; four brothers, Jim, Bill, George and Butch Jackson; and two sisters, Sharon LeMasters and Jane VanVoltenburg.

Shirley was a dorm parent at the Southwest Indian School in Peoria, AZ and she enjoyed the time that she spent working at the Jeffco Daycare Center. She was a member of Kolmont Community Church.

Surviving are seven children, Debbie (Rodney) Rusnak of Dayton, Ohio, Ardeen (Rick) Strong of Burkesville, KY, Rita (Lonnie) Wolf of Tionesta, PA, Arden (Margie) Westfall of Mingo Junction, OH, Ivan Westfall of Irondale, OH, Peggy (J.O.) Henry of Irondale, Ohio and Donna (Dan) Escobedo of Glendale, AZ; two brothers, Wayne Jackson and Jack (Linda) Jackson; four sisters, Carol (Doc) Roe, Dot Dopudja, Maggie Virtue and Judy (Randy) Krantz; fifteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received to celebrate Shirley's life at the Kolmont Community Church on Saturday February 4th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her memorial service at 1:00 p.m., with special family members officiating. Private interment at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, Ohio.
