Shawn M. Shoulders, 24, of Adena, OH, passed away Thursday September 5, 2019 in the Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, OH, after battling cancer for 13 years. Shawn was the strongest person we knew; he had a big heart and was loved by many.

He was born December 17, 1994 in Bellaire, OH, to Lee Shoulders and Becky (Carter) Shoulders of Wintersville, OH.

Shawn graduated from Buckeye Local High School in 2013 and was preceded in death by his pap, Tom Thomas.

He was a loving husband to his wife Carrie (Burch) Shoulders, whom he married on Sept. 19, 2015, they have been together for eight years. They have two puppies, Dixie and Chance.

Shawn was surrounded by his loving family. Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are his sister, Jessica Shoulders and his niece, Dannika Koher both of Wintersville, OH; a niece, Penelope Burch of New York; maternal grandparents, Rich and Grace Carter of Cadiz, OH; paternal grandmother, Wanda Thomas of Dillonvale, OH; and several aunts and uncles.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of his funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon E. Little, officiating.
