Sharon M. "MiMi" Smythe, 77, of Brilliant, OH, passed away peacefully Saturday January 13, 2024 at home with her husband by her side.

She was born January 11, 1947 in Wellsburg, WV. She was preceded in death by her father, Mendel Nelson; mother, Ethel (Adams) Renforth; step-father, William "Jiggs" Renforth; two sisters; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

MiMi was a homemaker, a member of the Brilliant American Legion Auxiliary and the Brilliant Boat Club. She was also one heck of a good cook.

Surviving are her husband, William "Bill" Smythe whom she married November 12, 1997; four children, Kimberly (Keith) Gardner of Brilliant, OH, Patricia Ann Kenny of Tallapoosa, GA, Darla Robinson of Mingo Junction, OH and Thomas (Tina) Zook of Wintersville, OH; a sister, Shelly (Dana) Eddy of Mingo Junction, OH; eleven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Bill would like to thank his daughter Kim Gardner; granddaughter Terri; grandson Gage and dear friends Johnny Dunn and Kat Morris for all the help they gave him to care for MiMi.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with her husband Bill Smythe, officiating. There will be a luncheon at the Brilliant American Legion immediately following the funeral. Private interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
