Scott W. Piatt, 49, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Monday March 11, 2024 at the OSU James Cancer Center in Columbus, OH after a brief battle with surgery complications.

He was born March 6, 1975, in Steubenville, OH. Scott graduated from Edison High School in 1994. He loved NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He is survived by his parents, Franklin H. "JR" Piatt, Jr. and Barbara (Mossor) Piatt of Steubenville, OH; a brother, Brad (Kim) Piatt of Weirton, WV, two nephews, Eric (Erin) Piatt and Isaac Piatt; a niece, Grace Piatt; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special aunt, Sherry (the late Robert) Eltringham of Rayland, OH.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Kenneth Mossor, officiating.  Private interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
