Russell J. "Russ" Lash, 82, of Rush Run, OH, passed away Tuesday October 26, 2021 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, OH.

He was born August 19, 1939 in Wintersville, OH, a son of the late George A. and Ruth (Zook) Lash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla J. Lash; a son, Russell J. Lash, Jr.; three brothers, Lester Lash, Rev. Delbert Lash and John Lash; an infant sister, Ruthie Lash; and a daughter-in-law, Erin Lash.

Russ worked in several places during his life but the most recent before his retirement was Cardinal Motor Company in Cadiz. He was a member of the Rush Run Christian Union Church. Russ was a lifelong hunter and founding member of the Wells Township Sportsman Club. He will be greatly missed by his sons, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.

He is survived by three sons, Gregory A. Lash of Buckeye, WV, Randall A. (Liz) Lash of Asheville, NC and Eric J. Lash and his partner Roberto Santiago of Fayetteville, NC; three brothers, George A. Lash of Richmond, OH, Warren E. Lash of Wintersville, OH, and Rodney (Carolyn) Lash of Moundsville, WV; two sisters, Anna Rebecca "Becky" Vein of Richmond, OH and Jane L. Green of Wintersville, OH; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, Ohio on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth Mossor, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
