Rose M. Hawthorne, 88, of New Alexandria, OH, passed away Friday September 24, 2021 in Weirton Medical Center.

She was born September 22. 1933 in Willamstown, PA, a daughter of the late Roy and Nora (Adams) Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all seventeen of her siblings.

Rose worked at the former dress factory, she was a waitress at the former Paddy's Diner and she cleaned houses privately. She was a member of the New Alexandria Methodist Church and a 50+ year member of the Labelle Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are two daughters, Kim (Rob) Hawthorne-Burek of New Alexandria, OH and Glenda (Phillip) Koch of Columbus, OH; her husband, Glen Hawthorne of Columbus, OH; and a grandson, Kristopher Allen Koch.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. MASKS ARE REQUIRED . Private interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
