Ronald J. "Butch" Adams, 77, of Rayland, OH, passed away Tuesday July 9, 2024 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

He was born April 24, 1947, in Steubenville, OH a son of the late John Henry and Mary E. (Nicholson) Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, John and James Barnhart.

Butch was an owner/operator truck driver. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Wintersville American Legion Post 557. He enjoyed building old cars and he loved racecars.

Surviving are his wife, Donna L. (Tournay) Adams, whom he married November 17, 1984; five children, Donald Barnhart of East Liverpool, OH, Barbara Keller of Savannah, GA, Kevin (Darlene) Barnhart of Rayland, OH, Sherry (Bill) Galiano of Wellsburg, WV and Melisa Morris of Follansbee, WV; a brother, Robert F. (Geri) Adams of Glennville, GA; a sister, Shirley (Gary) Ogden of Rayland, OH; eighteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of his funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Mazeroski, officiating and military honors by the Wintersville American Legion.
